Vid3o Mashup is a game/experience where people can make their own 3D graphics video using physical controls on a game board. The software for the game is coded in HTML, CSS, JS, and Three.js. The hardware for the game is an Arduino Mega, potentiometers, and buttons.
Players first choose one out of four 3D background options, then one out of four songs, and then once their background and song is chosen, they can manipulate the graphics in the chosen background using the physical controls on the game board. The original idea was for people to make their own 3D videos on screen using the physical controls, which would then be recorded, saved, and uploaded to an instagram handle for them to view it later. However, I did not have enough time at the end of the semester to accomplish this. Perhaps one day I can work on it further.

To create a fun experience where people can make their own 3D videos on screen using the physical controls, which would then be recorded, saved, and sent to an instagram handle for them to look at later.
A 90’s style arcade game board with a wild, bright color aesthetic.
Once I had an idea of what I wanted to create, I had to figure out what I wanted the players to be able to choose—their own background, song, etc. I then had to think about how to design the game board accordingly.
